how do i clean melted plastic off of a pewter and silver collectible bowl?

A friend gave me a bowl that was her grandmothers, I think it is silver with pewter coca-cola bottles for legs. She found it in her grandmothers house after a fire, since I collect coca-cola stuff she gave it to me, but it has plastic melted on it and it is severely tarnished. Can anyone tell me how to clean it up so it looks pretty again?

You need to heat it up again…..maybe with a hair dryer…..and wipe off the melted plastic. Afterwards you can wipe it down with any silver cleaner, to make it good as new, just remember, silver isn’t really meant to be “shiny”, it’s that subtle dullness that lets you know it’s real.
