should a 12 year old girl be allowed to go to a place called club aftershock untill 1:00 in the morning?
There is a new place in town called club aftershock. They’re advertising with postcard that says dress to impress, dj, dancing, jello shots etc. the place has security, supposedly the kids are not allowed out. Originally it was 18 and under. now they changed it to 15 and under on friday nights and the older kids on saturday. It has become quite a hang out spot. Parents are allowing their kids to stay out from nine oclock until one in the morning. I am extremely concerned about what this will lead to. I’m only the step mom. My husband checked it out and says he thinks it’s ok. But when I took her last time there were a bunch of boys hanging out in front of the building and when i started to get out of the car to walk her in she threw a huge fit and said i was embarasing her. she argued with me then her and her friend hopped out of car and ran to the entrance as i sat and watched to make sure they entered the building. Am I over reacting by thinking she is to young for this place?
She IS too young. I am almost 23 and I have never been to a club. It is really scary how young kids are getting into things these days.
I have a 19- month old and it scares me enough for me to want to homeschool him. But I guess there really is no way of stopping kids from catching wind of such things. If only other people would control their dang kids. Grrr.
I think your fear is well founded. Young girls can get themselves into big trouble. Been there done that. And when my parents said no.. it only made me that much more determined to do it.
